    He deserved Padam Shri long time back.Kirtan must be based on Ragas as given in Gurbani. That gives the real essence of it. There is a need of this hard training for all singers may be of other religions. Otherwise ,singing will reduce to tunes of filmy music. That is the reason that life of today’s singing is short .Let at least the religious singing not be reduced to the lower levels.Its always a pleasure to listen Bhai Niral Singh or Pandit Jasraj.
